Sew and Sow Thinks Locally and Globally
For Seniors in Need in Our Community
MPC’s outreach ministry, Sew and Sow, consists of a group of devoted individuals who use their talents and time to show God’s love to people in need.
Recently, 108 scrubbys were delivered to Pie in the Sky of St. Johns county in order to help the underserved senior community. The scrubbys, made by Nancy Cardonna and Ginny Bartlett of Sew and Sow, will be added to the grocery bags the seniors receive from Pie in the Sky and will help them with their dishwashing needs.
Phyllis Wood, of Pie in the Sky, received them with joy. Sew and Sow member, Ginny Bartlett delivered them.
For our Brothers and Sisters in Ukraine
“Our entire group of Sew and Sow produced 157 items of hats and scarves that we shipped out UPS today to Gainesville. Thanks to all of you for this amazing amount of work. I pray God’s blessing goes with these items to help those in need.
This was a combined effort with the Days for Girls distribution center in Gainesville and other surrounding churches. They are shipping these items to Ukraine 🇺🇦 to benefit the Ukraine orphanages and refugees this winter. A blessing is to be held over all of these items on Sunday before they head to Ukraine.”
Wendy Vick, Sew and Sow Facilitator
"We are all gifted by God with talents for needlework and called by Him to a ministry of serving those in need with the works of our hands. Our mission is to put God’s love into action.”
