Give

In all this I have given you an example that by such work we must support the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus, for he himself said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”‘  Acts 20:35

In an inspired community, we live beyond ourselves by offering the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy and peace—in our homes, our city, and around the world. This sharing happens as we worship, learn, and serve together; it overflows as we nurture the young, feed the hungry, and bind up the broken. This is possible only through the radical generosity and sharing of ourselves and all we possess.

Memorial Presbyterian Church is an inspiring community! Each member serves an important role in the family of God and we are counted on to support one another in a variety of ways, with gifts of time, prayer, encouragement and financial resources.

Thank you for your stewardship of God’s grace and your generous support of the ministry work of MPC!

Your Generosity at Work

Serving our Church

Serving others through inspirational worship

Worship is the center of our life together at MPC. Our pastors, ushers, music ministry, and worship committee all work to provide worship services that are inspiring, Biblical, and relevant to the challenges of our lives.

Serving others with stimulating education

Our faith becomes a reality when the stories of the Bible and our personal experiences of God’s love and grace inspire us to love God and to trust God’s guidance. Through preaching, Sunday School, youth ministry, innovative Christian formation programs, FEAST, and mission trips, we are learning and growing together in our faith.

Serving others through uplifting care

When we are sick, lonely, frightened, or grieving, we need to connect. As we bear each other’s burdens, we strengthen one another through pastoral support, listening and advice; hospital visits; eucharistic visits; Stephen Ministers; bereavement and grief support; and deacons.

Serving others through inspiring preservation

Our historic church has been called by many news outlets one of the religious wonders of the US and one of the most beautiful Protestant churches in the world. We host more than 100,000 weekday tourists and tens of thousands of worshipers each year. We are blessed to be entrusted to the care and preservation of a place of such significant historical importance.

Serving our Community

Serving others through loving action

MPC offers many opportunities to love our neighbors through programs such as Dining with Dignity, Food 4 Kids, Sew & Sow, Apostle Build through Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, and the renovation of the Homeless Coalition’s “Pink Cottage.”

Serving others by educating our community’s youngest children

The oldest mission of MPC is our Presbyterian Day School (PDS). Children, from 2 years of age to Pre-Kindergarten, are accepted from throughout the St. Augustine community and many receive scholarships to attend.

Serving our World

Serving others through intentional support

Our love extends beyond our own community by the offering of our support to missional partners such as Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Haiti Outreach Ministries, and missionaries in Africa.
