Garden Prayers
For Your Time at Memorial Presbyterian Church
A Prayer of Trust
Steadfast God,
in this quiet garden
I remember that You are faithful
beyond what I can see.
Help me remember
that the same Creator
who tends this beauty
tends my life.
When the future feels uncertain,
steady my heart.
When I am tempted
to control what is not mine to control,
teach me to surrender.
Root me in Your promises.
Help me trust
that Your purposes are kind
and Your timing sure.
In Christ’s name. Amen.
A Prayer for Strength in Hard Seasons
Gracious God,
You know the story
I carry into this place.
Some chapters are heavy,
and some wounds
are slow to heal.
Meet me here
in my weariness.
Give courage
for what must be faced
and patience
for what cannot yet be changed.
Let hope rise gently,
like morning light.
Hold me through this season,
and lead me,
step by step,
toward wholeness.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
A Prayer to Live in God’s Love
Loving God,
in this old city
and in this place of beauty,
draw me deeper
into Your heart.
Strip away the voices
that say I must earn
what You freely give.
Help me rest in the truth
that I am Yours—
held, forgiven, and beloved.
Let Your love
mend what is bruised
and calm what is restless.
When I leave this garden,
send me out as a living sign
of Your love.
In Christ’s name. Amen.
