"A Sweet Tradition: Gingerbread, Generosity, and the Gift of Community"
Each year, one of our most cherished traditions returns—our Gingerbread House Decorating Fellowship. It’s a time filled with laughter, creativity, and the joy of being together. But what makes it truly special begins long before the first candy is placed.
At the heart of this tradition is Ms. Judy.
With incredible care, she bakes each gingerbread house by hand—dozens of them—turning simple ingredients into something meaningful. Her gift creates the foundation for a gathering that brings our whole church family together.
When families arrive, tables are filled with candy, icing, and Ms. Judy’s handmade houses waiting to be transformed. Kids and adults alike dive in—some carefully crafting, others joyfully piling on sweets. There’s no right way to decorate, just an invitation to enjoy the moment.
In the midst of a busy season, this time offers space to slow down, sit side by side, and simply be together. It’s a reminder that community is built in moments like these—around tables, in laughter, and through shared traditions.
We are so grateful for Ms. Judy and the love she pours into this event each year. What begins in her kitchen becomes something much bigger—a sweet expression of our life together.
"In the midst of a busy season, this time offers space to slow down, sit side by side, and simply be together."
